俗我

The popular idea of the ego or soul, i.e. the empirical or false ego [lang id =1028]假我 composed of the five (sa) skandhas. This is to be distinguished from the true ego [lang id =1028]真我 or [lang id =1028]實我, the metaphysical substratum from which all empirical elements have been eliminated; v.[lang id =1028]八大自在我.
